What is Becoming?

Becoming is a collection of new original handmade paintings by the artist Alisha Smith also known as The Colourist.

What is the message behind Becoming?

Becoming is a celebration of women’s journey of growth and self discovery. Each piece captures the beauty, grace, femininity and resilience of women as they find themselves and blossom in a world that often challenges them. This collection is an homage to the feminine experience through vivid imagery of women, birds and flowers, that symbolizes growth, freedom, and the vibrancy of life.

How big is the collection?

It is a modest collection of only 5 one - of - a - kind paintings. One mysterious painting  will be revealed only on the day of the Launch. The originals will be available for purchase via an online auction on the artists’ site www.thecolouristart.com. Only persons who sign up for the VIP list will be able to access the auction via the password that will be provided via email. Additionally they will have private access to the prints for the first 6 hours.

When will it launch?

This time the collection is completely online. The paintings become available for purchase officially on November 18th via my site.

What are my hopes for the collection?

My dream for Becoming is to unite a sisterhood of women who are on the journey of crafting and becoming the best version of themselves, or ladies who can look back on their journey and see how far they came from. Each painting is meant to be a reflection of the beauty in becoming themself and they are also collectors’ items that they can own to cherish for a lifetime.
